Jakes Cove

Well anyway I’m excited to see if Ind.ie OS will be a thing.

Windows Xp: good
Windows Vista: bad
Windows 7: good
Windows 8: bad
?
Windows 10: ?

I wonder if and how windows 10 will follow the age old OS cycle.
Will it be good because windows 8 was meh or will it be bad because windows 9 was the good one we never saw?

thank you! I use redux by jacob :D

You might be the reason I use that too. It’s just so simple and nice.

That’s the pun I meant. But Lotus is just for fun you can’t really do normal stuff with it.

Drawing the next Prelude panel so I guess it technically is a spoiler but prelude doesn’t have much to be spoiled. Let’s hope flash stays stable today. There’s also assorted random music and IRC.

Dewmod: thank you for your advice, but I'm not sure if it's work in paint tool sai, because I used that programm I know about the neighbour thing in photoshop though~ QwQ I'm just not good with ps

If in doubt use Paint.

But I think most programs can scale without smoothing and if you don’t do it then tumblr does and it looks meh.

So this here

Will be uploaded as this

And be displayed without the stuff tumblr does to images.

No, I can’t 30 minute challenge…

They turned RNA into an anti-virus program. That is amazing.

Let me restate this in case it didn’t sink in the first time
Researchers physically DELETED ALL TRACES of the HIV virus from a human cell.
ALL OF IT.
IF YOU ARE NOT EXCITED ABOUT THAT I DON’T THINK YOU KNOW WHAT HIV IS

Here is the original paper.  My computer at work is currently being an ass.( http://www.hivdent.org/_research_/2014/PNAS-2014-Hu-1405186111.pdf.)
“Our results also demonstrate, for the first time to our knowledge, that Cas9/gRNA genome editing can be used to immunize cells against HIV-1 infection. The preventative vaccination is independent of HIV-1 strain’s diversity because the system targets genomic sequences regardless of how the viruses enter the infected cells.”
“Here, we found that LTR-directed gRNA/  Cas9 eradicates the HIV-1 genome and effectively immunizes target cells against HIV-1 reactivation and infection with high specificity and efficiency. These properties may provide a viable path toward a permanent or “sterile” HIV-1 cure, and perhaps provide a means to eradicate and vaccinate against other pathogenic viruses.”
This is beyond awesome.  Not only does it cure HIV infection, it immunizes other cells.  They believe it can be applied to other viral infections where the virus integrates into the host’s genome.

Lets think about this for a second.  HIV was first confirmed in 1959, retroactively, by examining the deceased’s preserved blood.  Between 1960 and 1980, HIV and AIDS are both relatively unknown, with many cases only confirmed retroactively by symptoms or studying the deceased years after their death.
In 1980, we have “Patient Zero” in the USA.  This is when HIV/AIDS became publicly known.
1980.  It is now 2014.  34 years.  It took us only 34 years, from widespread knowledge to this first major step in a cure.  34 years.  Just slightly longer than a generation we have fought HIV to this extent.
And we are only going to get better at it.

Hey good news for mankind :>

Can we call this Bio-Hacking now?
